Parent Testimony:
"If your kiddo is interested in acting/theater, I highly recommend signing them up for the SLTAcademy acting classes. Max has flourished and found his 2nd home at Shreveport Little Theater. Laura Beeman Nugent, Nathan Gay, Kelly Berne, and all of the senior academy students who work with the junior students day in and day out are truly amazing and such a wonderful gift to our community. Here the focus is on progress not perfection. They want all the kids to be themselves and have fun putting on incredibly entertaining stage productions. They don’t try to force anyone to be someone they are not; everyone has a place here." ~Nicole
Spring 2026 Session
Shreveport Little Theatre and Academy is excited to announce enrollment for our Spring 2026 acting classes for students in grades K–8, The Performer’s Path. This program is designed to grow with your young actor as they build confidence, creativity, and stagecraft at every level.

Rising Stars (Grades K–1)
Our youngest performers discover their spark through imaginative play, storytelling, and movement-based fun that builds confidence from the very first class.
Spotlight Explorers (Grades 2–3)
Students take their next step by diving into characters, emotions, and collaborative games that bring stories to life while strengthening stage presence.
Stage Players (Grades 4–5)
This level introduces more structured acting skills using voice, movement, scene work, and ensemble-building techniques. This class is perfect for students ready to take on bigger challenges.
Emerging Artists (Grades 6–8)
Our most advanced young performers refine technique through focused acting exercises, character analysis, and performance projects that prepare them for the next stage of their theatrical journey.

Whether your child is just beginning or already dreaming of taking the stage, SLTA offers a nurturing, fun, and inspiring space to grow. Join us this Spring and watch your young performer shine!

Classes will be held weekly beginning January 26, 2026 and continue through April 10, 2026.
Please note: there will be NO CLASSES the week of March 9-13, 2026.
